Abstract
The Irrigation Water Utilization Enhancement Acceleration Program (P3-TGAI) project in Kebonrejo Village, Magelang Regency, aims to improve the efficiency of agricultural irrigation systems. However, its implementation experienced delays due to weather conditions, material delays, and suboptimal time management. This study analyzes the relationship between project time and cost using the Time Cost Trade Off (TCTO) method to determine the most efficient acceleration alternative from two solution options: adding 1 & 2 hours of overtime and adding work shifts. The analysis was carried out by identifying the critical path using Microsoft Project software and input from the contractor. The results show that adding work shifts is the most efficient alternative, reducing the project duration from 120 days to 79 days with a labor cost of IDR 366,720,000.00, which is IDR 2,400,000.00 higher than the normal labor cost of IDR 364,320,000. Adding 1-hour and 2-hour overtime per day reduced the duration to 114 days and 109 days, with cost increases of IDR 17,430,000.00 and IDR 46,350,000.00 respectively. The Time Cost Trade Off method proved effective in supporting project management for acceleration decision-making that balances time and cost.
