Abstract

This research aims to: (1) describe the structure of the builder in the novel Republik Jungkir Balik by Suparto Brata, (2) describe the moral values contained in the novel Republic of Jungkir Balik by Suparto Brata, and (3) explain the relevance of moral values to the learning of literature in class XII. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data in the form of words, phrases, and sentences related to moral values in the novel Republik Jungkir Balik by Suparto Brata, published by Narasi in 2009. The data collection technique was carried out through observe, note and interview to explore theoretical concepts that support the analysis of moral values in the context of literary education at the high school level. Data analysis was carried out by content analysis techniques through in-depth reading of the text. This study examines the representation and development of moral values in the storyline. The results of the study show that moral values in the novel Republik Jungkir Balik by Suparto Brata are classified into three forms, namely: (1) human relationship with self, (2) human relationship with others, and (3) human relationship with God. It can be concluded that moral values in the novel Republik Jungkir Balik by Suparto Brata are dominated by moral values in the form of human relationships with oneself and with others.
