Abstract
This study aims to develop the educational game My Animal World as an interactive learning medium for animal habitat material for elementary school students. The background of this study is the lack of interesting learning media that can increase student learning motivation in understanding science material. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC) model which includes the initiation, pre-production, production, testing, and release stages. The game was developed using Construct 3 by featuring animal characters, habitats, interactive quizzes, and interesting audio-visual elements. The results of validation by material experts and media experts indicate that the game My Animal World is suitable for use as a learning medium. Testing on students showed a positive response to the game's appearance and content. Thus, My Animal World has succeeded in becoming an interactive, interesting, and effective learning medium in helping students understand animal habitats while increasing learning motivation. This game not only helps students understand the concept of animal habitats more concretely, but also provides a fun learning experience that has the potential to increase student motivation and learning outcomes.
