Abstract

This study discusses the phenomenon of speech acts in the Close The Door talk show "Lectures Are Not Important" edition and its relevance to Indonesian language learning in high school. This study aims to describe the types of speech acts in the Close The Door talk show "Lectures Are Not Important" edition and explore how these phenomena can be used as Indonesian language learning materials, especially in understanding the types of oral interaction speech on YouTube. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive study. This study will describe the utterances that indicate locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary speech acts used in the Close The Door talk show "Lectures Are Not Important" edition on YouTube media. The data in the study were collected through the Listening and Note-Taking Technique on the YouTube video broadcast of Close The Door "Lectures Are Not Important" edition. The results of the study indicate that various types of speech acts, including 1) Interrogative Locutionary Speech Acts, 2) Declarative Locutionary Speech Acts, 3) Assertive Illocutionary Speech Acts, 4) Directive Illocutionary Speech Acts, 5) Expressive Perlocutionary Speech Acts, and 6) Commissive Perlocutionary Speech Acts. This phenomenon can be used as teaching material in learning Indonesian in high school, especially in the material of dialogue texts for grade XI high school. The relevance of this study emphasizes basic competencies related to understanding and interpreting dialogue texts such as, in the Merdeka Curriculum (Indonesian High School Language) analyzing and evaluating the use of linguistic elements in dialogue texts such as speech.This study discusses the phenomenon of speech acts in the Close The Door talk show "Lectures Are Not Important" edition and its relevance to Indonesian language learning in high school.
