Abstract
Unemployment remains one of Indonesia’s major socio-economic challenges. The imbalance between the growing population and the limited availability of job opportunities has led to a rising unemployment rate, particularly among university graduates. One of the government’s strategic efforts to address this issue is through strengthening entrepreneurship education in higher institutions. The Wirausaha Merdeka (Independent Entrepreneurship) program, initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, provides students with opportunities to develop entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and managerial skills through direct practical experiences in real business environments.This report discusses the role of the Wirausaha Merdeka internship program in fostering enthusiasm and building resilience among young entrepreneurs, particularly through the practical experience of noodle production in the Wonogiri region. Through this activity, students not only gain theoretical understanding but also practical skills in financial management, business planning, and budgeting. The results of this internship indicate that the Wirausaha Merdeka program successfully enhances entrepreneurial motivation, managerial competencies, and self-reliance among students, preparing them to face the challenges of the professional world. This program is expected to serve as a foundation for cultivating a new generation of young entrepreneurs who actively contribute to national economic development.
