Abstract

Eco-friendly hotels are increasingly becoming the main choice for tourists who care about sustainability and environmental preservation. Pati, as one of the cities in Central Java, has great potential in developing an eco-friendly tourism industry. This study aims to examine the implementation of the eco-friendly hotel concept in Pati, as well as to analyze its impact on natural resource management and tourist attractions. The research methods used are literature studies and field observations at several hotels that have implemented sustainability principles, such as energy management, waste reduction, use of environmentally friendly materials, and water conservation. The results of the study indicate that although the application of environmentally friendly principles is still limited, there is great potential to develop eco-friendly hotels in Pati. The existence of these hotels can not only increase public awareness of the importance of nature conservation, but also have a positive impact on the local economy through increasing sustainable tourism. This study is expected to provide insight for hotel industry players, local governments, and the community in creating a more environmentally friendly tourism ecosystem in the future.
