Abstract

Memorizing the Qur'an requires a method so that memorization becomes organized. There are many methods that have been widely studied among researchers related to tahfidz learning. Departing from this problem, the author attempted to conduct a study entitled "Implementation of the Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil Methods in Memorizing the Qur'an of Female Students at the Al-Ittiba' Islamic Boarding School, Klaten. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil methods in memorizing the Qur'an of female students at the Al-Ittiba' Islamic Boarding School, Klaten and to determine the factors that influence the implementation of the memorization method at the Al-Ittiba' Islamic Boarding School, Klaten. This type of research is field research. Data sources were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and verification. The implementation of Qur'an memorization at the Al-Ittiba' Islamic Boarding School in Klaten uses the Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods. Sabaq is a new memorization that must be submitted daily to the supervisor with a minimum of half a page. Sabqi is repeating new memorization that has not reached one juz of at least 5 pages. Manzil is repeating old memorization that has been submitted. In its implementation, there are three aspects: first, program development, second, implementation and evaluation. The evaluation of Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil at the Al-Ittiba' Islamic Boarding School in Klaten includes the juz increase exam, the multiple of 5 juz exam, and the tasmi' exam. In its implementation, there are several supporting and inhibiting factors. Supporting factors for the implementation of tahfidz include support from the mudir (leader), students, tahfidz instructors, and the active participation of female students in carrying out halaqoh (religious gatherings). Inhibiting factors for tahfidz activities include the overcrowding of activities that make female students bored, the policy of not being allowed to add memorization before passing the manzil deposit, and the memorization ability of female students.
