Abstract

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a sport that is experiencing rapid growth in popularity. On social media, especially YouTube, this popularity can be seen from the many channels that discuss this sport, one of which is Radio Tempur which actively presents various content about MMA, especially the international event Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). However, unlike other sports which are easy to watch on national television, MMA still faces obstacles related to broadcast regulations, this causes access to broadcasts of this sport to be very limited. As a result, fans have to use paid streaming platforms to watch MMA matches live. Based on this background, this research aims to find out whether exposure to YouTube Radio Tempur media can influence interest in watching MMA on Mola TV. This research uses the Uses and Effects theory and the method is explanatory quantitative. The sample in this study was 100 people who were subscribers to Radio Tempur. From the test results, it was found that the hypothesis was accepted, while the coefficient of determination was 0.703, which means that exposure to YouTube Radio Tempur social media had a significant effect of 70.3%, while the remaining 29.7% was influenced by other variables not discussed in this research.
