Abstract

In some recent cases, health has been correlated with student health. In the Sport Development Index (SDI) by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the level of sports participation of the Indonesian people is still low at 30.93% in 2022 and is decreasing every year. Many students such as students have not participated in sports, as well as students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. One of the goals of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta is "to produce quality graduates who practice Islamic values", with this goal, sports become an alternative way to create quality graduates. Through a study of several literatures and questionnaires for UMS students, sports can be an alternative to improve student health and sports are considered important for UMS students. The study on this occasion resulted in the idea of a design to accommodate the sports activities of the UMS academic community with an emphasis on holistic architecture to support sports productivity and user health. The idea of a design in the form of the UMS Student Sport Center by applying the principles contained in the holistic architecture concept makes users more comfortable and relaxed physically and mentally. The Student Sport Center accommodates 9 sports divided into 2 indoor and 7 outdoor sports, all of which emphasize closeness to nature to create spiritual comfort.
