Abstract

This research focuses on improving gross motor through the traditional game of coconut shell stilts in elementary school children. Therefore, this study aims to determine the improvement of gross motor skills through the traditional game of coconut shell stilts in elementary school children. This study uses a quantitative approach method with a one group pre test-post test design. The research sample is 15 students of SDIU Nawa Kartika. Data collection was carried out through a pretest to take initial data, after which treatment and posttest data collection were carried out. The results of the kolmogrov-smirnov normality analysis data >0.05 which means that the data is normally distributed, Because the assumption of normality data is met, the next test is the Paired t-test. The significance value < 0.05 which means that there is a significant relationship between coconut shell stilts and the improvement of students' motor skills. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that they have never played traditional games at school, even the children played games at school only running, jumping, drawing and writing.
