Abstract
Boyolali Regency is one of the districts in Central Java Province. Having beautiful natural conditions, Boyolali Regency is often visited for nature tourism. Boyolali Regency is home to many land that is used as agricultural fields. This is evidenced by data from the Study on the Development of Food Sources Other than Rice for Community Consumption in Boyolali Regency which states that food agriculture products in Boyolali Regency in 2022 are in the form of rice, sweet potatoes, coconut, and sugarcane, which is more than 290 tons of each type. However, there is still drought during the dry season, especially in Tamansari District, which affects agricultural productivity. Because the majority of farmers use conventional agriculture by planting directly in agricultural fields that require a lot of water supply. There needs to be steps to develop agricultural potential that takes into account the environmental situation in Tamansari District, namely by developing hydroponic farming techniques. This hydroponic technique is agriculture that can save water use. On the basis of this thought, the author proposes the concept of Planning and Design of Hydroponic Agricultural Education Tourism for Food Crops in Tamansari District, Boyolali. In addition to overcoming drought problems, the development of agrotourism is also an educational tourism for farmers and the general public so that it is an effort to increase agricultural yields. The purpose of building this educational tourism is as a means of recreation and education about hydroponic agriculture. The concept used is sustainable architecture which is chosen with the aim of minimizing the adverse impact of development on the surrounding environment. The results of the planning are in the form of agricultural education areas that are in accordance with the needs and natural conditions around the area.
