Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using audio-visual media in improving memory retention among early childhood learners at TK Yaa Bunayya Madiun. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the study involved ten children aged 4–6 years, divided into two groups: an experimental group that used audio-visual media in the form of animated videos about the ablution procedure, and a control group that received conventional instruction. The results revealed a significant increase in memory retention within the experimental group from 64% to 90% while the control group showed a smaller improvement from 62% to 74%. Interviews with both students and teachers indicated that the use of audio-visual media enhanced student engagement, concept comprehension, and memory performance. These findings highlight the importance of integrating technology-based media in early childhood education to create a more interactive, engaging, and effective learning experience.
