Abstract

The uncontrolled increase in waste volume in Grobogan Regency has triggered the need for effective and sustainable waste management solutions. This final project proposes the design of a Waste Recycling Center (WRC) in Grobogan Regency using a green architecture approach. The aim of this design is to create a facility capable of processing both organic and inorganic waste into valuable materials, while also functioning as a community education center. The green architecture approach is implemented through the selection of environmentally friendly materials, energy efficiency, waste treatment, and the creation of healthy and comfortable spaces. The research method employs a descriptive approach by collecting data through field observations and literature studies. Site analysis, space requirements, and international case studies serve as the foundation for the design concept. The outcome of this project is expected to support the optimization of the operational lifespan of the Ngembak Final Processing Site (TPA Ngembak) and raise public awareness of the importance of responsible waste management, thereby contributing positively to the environment.
