Abstract

The Public Space Planning of Kurung Village, Klaten, is designed for inclusive learning for children using the principles of space syntax. This planning responds to the community's need for social interaction and educational spaces that are friendly to all groups, especially children with special needs. The space syntax approach is used to analyze spatial configurations to improve connectivity, integration, and clarity of micro-areas. This area is designed with tiered zoning, where the space syntax itself also uses this method. The increase is in the form of Public-Semi-Public-Semi-Private-Private, these levels are used to determine accessibility and comfort. The structure uses a modular system of lightweight and durable materials, and the micro-area utilities utilize the application of reused drainage to minimize flooding in the area. The design of this area also includes educational features, thematic gardens, and interactive facilities to support inclusive learning. This planning is expected to strengthen the social, educational, and ecological functions of public space in Kurung Village, as well as to advance community participation in creating an inclusive and sustainable regional environment.
