Abstract

Cengklik Reservoir is one of the reservoirs in the Boyolali area located in Ngemplak District, included in the Ngargorejo and Sobokerto Village areas, Cengklik Reservoir is often visited as a water tourism destination. However, the development of water tourism in Cengklik Reservoir still faces several challenges, such as limited facilities, less than optimal accessibility, cleanliness issues, and suboptimal tourism management. To optimize its potential, it is necessary to design a concept for water tourism accommodation based on environmentally friendly and sustainable permaculture. The goal is to increase the tourist attraction of Cengklik Reservoir through the development of adequate facilities without damaging its natural ecosystem. This concept not only addresses recreational needs, but also combines aspects of education, ecology, and community empowerment through: Zero-Waste Design, Multifunctional Facilities, Ecological Sustainability and Socio-Economic Added Value. With a Permaculture approach, this accommodation will be an example of a tourist destination that is in harmony with nature, as well as a learning tool for visitors about conservation and sustainable living practices.
