Abstract

The high levels of stress caused by work pressure among office workers in Jakarta create a need for recovery spaces that support holistic wellbeing. A Wellness Retreat Centre with a Healing Architecture concept emerges as a response to this issue, aiming to provide spaces for physical, mental, and emotional healing processes. Sentul, Bogor Regency, was chosen due to its natural characteristics of hilly terrain, cool tropical climate, and development potential that supports a therapeutic atmosphere. The Healing Architecture concept is applied through the integration of natural elements, natural lighting, sensory stimuli control, natural materials, and balance between private and social zones. The design approach considers green building principles based on Greenship standards from GBCI to ensure environmental sustainability and user comfort. The design is based on site analysis, user characteristics, and retreat activity programs lasting 3, 7, and 15 days. The results of this design are expected to become a model for integrated recovery spaces that are relevant to current urban society needs.
