Abstract

Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU PKDRT) is an important legal basis in providing protection for victims of domestic violence (KDRT) in Indonesia. This study aims to determine how legal protection efforts for victims of Domestic Violence (KDRT) are in Law Number 23 of 2004, and to find out how the evaluation of Law Number 23 of 2004 is currently when this Law has been implemented. The results of the analysis show that the PKDRT Law has provided a legal protection mechanism in the form of temporary protection, permanent protection, health services, legal assistance, and psychological recovery. However, this legal protection still faces various obstacles, such as a lack of understanding of law enforcement officers, minimal supporting facilities, and social pressures faced by victims. Therefore, efforts are needed to strengthen regulations, legal socialization, and increase the capacity of related institutions to ensure that the rights of victims of domestic violence are fulfilled effectively and comprehensively.
