Abstract
The rattan industry is the important sectors in the Indonesian economy, and Andi Rattan SMEs as actors in the rattan furniture industry in Sukoharjo Regency produce manually with a long working time, so workers complain of fatigue and muscle pain. These problems have the potential to cause MSDs which can reduce work productivity. This study aims to evaluate the work posture of workers and identify potential ergonomic risks that occur at each work station. This study used the Nordic Body Map (NBM) identify muscle complaints in 28 parts of the worker's body and Workplace Ergonomic Risk Assessment (WERA evaluate the level ergonomic risk based on nine physical work factors. The results of the NBM method show that workers scores vary, with the highest scores found at the weaving station of 73 (NBM) and 45 (WERA) which are classified as high categories. Next are suggestions for improvement proposals were made at the weaving station in the form of leseh chair design and work table designed using Indonesian anthropometric data with percentile of 50. After implementation, WERA score decreased significantly from 45 to 33. Evaluation and redesign of work postures based on anthropometric data are effective in reducing the level of risk of MSDs in Andi Rattan SME workers
