Abstract
This study aims to design a school website as a solution to improve the effectiveness of academic information delivery at SMPN 3 Girimarto. The background of this study is the problem of information delivery that still relies on conventional methods such as verbal announcements and information boards, as well as the less than optimal use of social media. This study uses a Design Thinking approach consisting of five stages, namely Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The design process involves teachers, students, and parents as the main users to ensure that the website is built according to their needs. The development platform used is WordPress with the Astra theme because it supports responsive displays and ease of customization. This website contains important features such as the homepage, school facilities, teacher and staff data, vision and mission, extracurricular activities, achievements, alumni data, announcements, class schedules, news, criticism and suggestions, and PPDB. The results of the material test using the Aiken's V formula showed a very high level of validity in the aspects of content, information structure, and usefulness. Meanwhile, the results of user tests using the System Usability Scale (SUS) instrument showed that the website was considered easy to use and useful by students and parents. Based on these results, it can be concluded that this website is effective as a medium for delivering academic information that is structured, easy to access, and relevant to user needs.
