Abstract

Student learning interest is an important factor in the lecture process, and learning interest has many factors, including peer social support and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between peer social support and self-efficacy in student learning interest. This study used a quantitative correlational design. The population of this study was students of the Faculty of Psychology, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, class of 2021-2024, and a sample of 92 people was determined using a cluster random sampling technique. The analytical test used was multiple linear regression analysis processed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 25. The results of the major hypothesis indicate a relationship between peer social support and self-efficacy with student learning interest. Meanwhile, the minor hypothesis indicates a relationship between peer social support variables and student learning interest with an effective contribution of 7.2%. And for the second minor hypothesis, there is a relationship between self-efficacy and student learning interest with an effective contribution of 40.1%.
