Abstract

Narcotics crimes are illegal activities related to narcotics, including producing, distributing and using prohibited substances. The distribution of narcotics is not only spread among adults, but also spread among children. The objectives of this study are: 1) To identify the constraints faced by the Klaten Resort Police in overcoming narcotics crimes against children, 2) To analyze the efforts made by the Klaten Resort Police in overcoming narcotics crimes against children. This study uses an empirical legal approach method, which is carried out by observing and interviewing competent parties at the research location, namely members of the Klaten Resort Police Narcotics Unit. Overcoming narcotics crimes against children by the Klaten Resort Police still faces various fairly complex obstacles which are divided into aspects of legal substance, legal structure, and legal culture. Therefore, the Klaten Resort Police has efforts to overcome these obstacles, in the form of a preventive approach and a repressive approach.
