Abstract

Work ethic refers to an employee's dedication in carrying out their duties, which includes having a positive attitude or perspective toward their job. It is influenced by factors such as religiosity and intrinsic motivation. This study aims to examine the relationship between religiosity and work ethic at PT. X Distribution, as well as the relationship between intrinsic motivation and work ethic in the same context. The research hypothesis states that there is a highly significant relationship between religiosity and intrinsic motivation with work ethic, including a highly significant positive correlation between religiosity and work ethic, as well as a highly significant positive correlation between intrinsic motivation and work ethic. This study involved sales employees of PT. X Distribution, selected using a purposive sampling method. Using a quantitative correlational approach and three measurement scales (work ethic, religiosity, and intrinsic motivation), the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results revealed a highly significant relationship between religiosity and intrinsic motivation with work ethic, with both variables jointly influencing work ethic by 77.2%. The study also showed a highly significant positive correlation between religiosity and work ethic (r = 0.641, p = 0.000), as well as a highly significant positive correlation between intrinsic motivation and work ethic (r = 0.879, p = 0.000).
