Abstract

Smart Governance is an improvement in government administration that involves the use of information technology integrated with the internet, input patterns, processes, and information system outputs that will provide feedback to policy makers. This study aims to examine the implementation of smart governance in Boyolali Regency in achieving its objectives based on Boyolali Regency Regulation No. 12 of 2022, as well as to analyze the application of the principles of Good Governance in the management of smart governance in the Boyolali Regency Government. The research method used is qualitative descriptive research with an empirical legal approach, combining legal analysis and empirical findings in the field. Primary data was obtained through interviews and observations, while secondary data was collected from legal documents and related literature. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of smart governance in Boyolali Regency has been progressing well, marked by innovations such as the Public Service Mall (MPP) and the Monitoring Center for Development (MCD). However, challenges such as uneven infrastructure and low public participation need to be addressed. The application of AUPB in the implementation of Smart Governance also shows progress, with principles such as transparency and accountability beginning to be applied. This study is expected to contribute to the development of better policies and governance practices in Boyolali District and other regions.
