Abstract
Oral health in pregnant women is an important part of maintaining overall pregnancy health. Health cadres have a strategic role in providing education and monitoring the health of pregnant women, including oral health. However, the knowledge of health cadres about this is still not optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of cadres about dental and oral health of pregnant women in the Penumping Health Center working area, Surakarta City. This research method is descriptive quantitative research with survey method. The population in this study were all health cadres in the Penumping Health Center area, as many as 59 people, who were sampled using the total sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed univariately and presented in the form of frequency distribution and percentage. The results showed that the majority of health cadres were over 50 years old. The majority of cadres are high school graduates. Based on the years of experience of respondents as health cadres, most have worked for more than ten years. The majority of health cadres had a level of knowledge in the “sufficient” category.
