Abstract

The construction of the Kebo River Project at Putri Cempo Landfill is the development of a new river flow that includes an artificial slope. An artificial slope is a slope formed by humans as a result of an excavation. During the construction of the Kebo River, a landslide occurred, causing delays in the construction process. The stability analysis of the slope at the Kebo River was conducted due to the vulnerability of the soil mass caused by the creation of the new river flow, which can cause the soil around the river flow to slide. The slope stability analysis for the Kebo River construction uses Geo-Studio software with the Bishop and Fellenius methods. Based on the slope stability analysis using the Bishop method with wet γ, the Safety Factor results were 1.450 at coordinate P7, 1.294 at coordinate P8, and 1.753 at coordinate P9. The slope stability analysis using the Fellenius method with wet γ resulted in a Safety Factor of 1.410 at coordinate P7, 1.204 at coordinate P8, and 1.714 at coordinate P9. Then, the slope stability analysis using the Bishop method with dry γ resulted in a Safety Factor of 1.297 at coordinate P7, 1,326 at coordinate P8, and 1,970 at coordinate P9. The slope stability analysis using the Fellenius method with dry γ resulted in a Safety Factor of 1.086 at coordinate P7, 1.383 at coordinate P8, and 1.978 at coordinate P9. Since the Safety Factor value at coordinate P7 is unsafe (less than 1.07) and may still lead to landslides, one method using shotcrete will be employed to increase the soil's shear strength.
