Abstract

The level of humidity, building density, and vegetation density have a relationship or influence on changes in land surface temperature in an area, one of which is in Pekalongan Regency. This can be triggered by the high population density so that it will affect the distribution between humidity levels, building density, and vegetation density to land surface temperature. The objectives of this study are: (1) Analyzing spatially and temporally the humidity level, building density, and vegetation density in Pekalongan Regency in 2013 and 2023, (2) Analyzing spatially and temporally the land surface temperature in Pekalongan Regency in 2013 and 2023, (3) Analyzing the relationship between humidity level, building density, and vegetation density to land surface temperature in Pekalongan Regency in 2013 and 2023. The method used is the quantitative descriptive method. The results obtained are that in 2013 and 2023 the humidity level values in Pekalongan Regency were in the range of -1 – 0.73, building density values -1 – 0.64, vegetation density values -1 – 0.90, and land surface temperature 14.94°C – 39.93°C. Spatially, the Southern region is dominated by the highest values of humidity level and vegetation density, while the values of building density and the highest land surface temperature are centered in the Northern region. The correlation results obtained in 2013 were correlation between the variables of humidity level, building density, and vegetation density to land surface temperature sequentially, which had correlation values of -0.733 (strong), 0.733 (strong), and -0.704 (strong). In 2023, the correlation values between the variables of humidity level, building density, and vegetation density to land surface temperature will be -0.747 (strong), 0.747 (strong), and -0.535 (moderate) respectively. The resulting p-value is 0 or less than 0.05 so that it is considered statistically significant.
