Abstract

The current development of the internet makes it easier for fans to create fan activities on online media. One of them is the activity of the @BTStreaminglD fanbase which focuses on streaming activities and disseminating information about streaming for Army, the fandom of BTS. This study aims to find out how the admin of the @BTStreamingID account can utilize the X platform to create media streams by interacting in directing streaming activities. This study examines the participatory cultural activities of the @BTStreamingID streaming fanbase account on platform X. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a constructivism paradigm. Data retrieval from this study used a purposive sampling technique with the research subject being the admin of the @BTStreamingID account. Data collection through interviews and documentation in the form of tweets & photos posted from the @BTStreamingID account. The results of this study are four activities that can be categorized into two forms of participatory culture. First collaborative problem-solving activities with collaboration with solo fanbases to carry out streaming. Second circulation activities in the form of streaming invitations and playlist creation, streaming education & streaming result information.
