Abstract
Instruction plays an vital part in engaging human assets and making individuals who are valuable for the country and state. School development in Ngawi Regency is focused on several sub-districts, such as Ngawi Regency and its surroundings, so it requires good accessibility to public and private transportation. The objectives of this study are: 1) analyze the distribution pattern of SMA and SMK in Ngawi Regency, 2) analyze the level of transportation accessibility to SMA and SMK in Ngawi Regency, and 3) analyze the comparison of classroom availability with the number of SMA students. This quantitative research is supported by a survey approach and secondary data analysis, including a study of school locations. Data analysis techniques include Quantitative Descriptive Analysis, Nearest Neighbor Analysis to determine distribution patterns, and Buffer Analysis to determine accessibility. The data used includes the location points of public and private SMA and the road network in Ngawi Regency. The results of the study show that SMA shows a random distribution pattern, while SMK shows a clustered distribution pattern. Accessibility to both types of schools is relatively high, with 85% for SMA and 95% for SMK included in the high accessibility category. In addition, there are 197 high school classrooms still available compared to the number of high school age population. So overall educational facilities in Ngawi Regency are strategically located along the main road, making it easy to access educational services.
