Abstract

The shape of road routes is a factor that greatly affects in increasing the mental burden of drivers such as toll roads, city roads and village roads because each route has a different level of accident risk. This study uses an experimental design method which was carried out with two experiments. This experiment measured an independent variable, namely the driver's performance on each road route measured by the number of errors and a dependent variable, namely the mental workload measured from heart rate. The purpose of this study is to analyze data using multiple linear regression tests to determine the effect, the two-way anova test to find out the differences between experiments and the Pearson correlation test to see the relationship between variables. The results of this study include a significant value of 0.941 in the multiple linear regression test so that there is no influence between driver performance on the driver's mental workload, in the two-way ANOVA test, the significant value was 0.907 so that there was no difference in driver performance in experiments 1 and 2, and in the Pearson correlation test, the significance value was 0.960 so that there was no relationship between the variables
