Abstract

The Kreak group in its application creates trouble and creates social disputes that challenge the opponent with arguments or provocative actions, the Kreak group usually makes various threats and violence to residents in the city of Semarang in carrying out their actions, the purpose of this study is to analyze the phenomenon of mass fights as a reflection of the social crisis that occurs in the society of Semarang. The method The approach used in this study is a juridical-empirical method. Juridical-empirical research is legal research on the direct enactment or implementation of normative legal provisions in every specific legal event that occurs in society. The type of research used by the author is Descriptive One of the approaches available to be used in research is descriptive research. In an interview with one of the perpetrators of the brawl in Semarang, it was revealed that the main motivation for carrying out the brawl was to maintain the prestige and prestige of the group. Rico, one of the perpetrators, stated that the brawls were carried out on the basis of each party's ego to maintain the good name of their group, Some youth groups consider violence as a way to gain recognition and power. The impact of mass fights on social life and security in Semarang is widespread. The phenomenon of mass brawls disrupts public order, increases crime rates, creates social tension, and damages the quality of life of citizens, especially in areas prone to brawls.
