Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the implementation of supervision carried out by the Karanganyar Regency Environmental Service on the management of tea plantations in Ngargoyoso District and to identify the obstacles faced and efforts made. This study uses an empirical legal approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the management of tea plantations has largely complied with the provisions of Regional Regulation Number 6 of 2023 and Law Number 32 of 2009. However, there are still obstacles such as land conversion, uncontrolled tourism development, and lack of public awareness. The Environmental Service has made efforts through education, tree planting, and periodic supervision. This study recommends trengthening regulations and community participation to realize sustainable development.
