Abstract
The increasingly competitive business environment compels entrepreneurs to enhance operational efficiency, one of which is by selecting the right raw material suppliers. Tropiloka, a craft-based MSME located in Solo, faces challenges related to the scarcity of wood raw materials, which negatively impacts production efficiency and increases operational costs. Currently, Tropiloka works with seven suppliers; however, there is no established prioritization system, and supplier selection is solely based on the owner's subjective judgment. This study aims to determine the most suitable supplier for Tropiloka using a decision-making system approach based on the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). AHP is employed to determine the priority weights of four main criteria—quality, price, service, and location—along with their respective subcriteria identified through discussion with business actors and literature review. Meanwhile, TOPSIS is applied to rank suppliers based on their proximity to the ideal solution. The results show that quality is the most important criterion with a weight of 0.35, followed by price (0.33), service (0.18), and location (0.14). Based on the calculations, supplier PB has the highest preference score of 0.777 and is recommended as the main supplier for Tropiloka.
