Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factor that influence the habit of using digital payment in a sustainable manner for physical store consumers in Surakarta City from a habit perspective. Quantitaive research methods with a Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) based Structural Equation Modeling approach are used to examine the influence of Satisfaction, Perceived Usefulness, Deal Proneness, Social Ties, AND Perceived Compatibility variables on Habit to Use. Data was collected trough an online questionnaire with 203 respondents who met the criteria of active users of digital payment. The result of the study show that Satisfaction and Perceived Compatibiity have significant effect on the formation of usage habits. Perceive Usefulness has no direct effect, but has an insignificant effect through the mediation of Satisfaction. Meanwhile, Deal Proneness and Social Ties do not show a significant influence on habits. This findings indicate that User Satisfcation and Perceived Compatibility with daily needs are key in forming habits, While Perceived Usefulness and Social Tie have less impact. The practical implication for digital payment service providers is to focus on improving the quality of services, optimazing user experience, and integrating system that are aligned with users. Future Research is recommended to explore the factors of security, trust, and the role of generation in the adopstion of digital paymet technology.
