Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the quality of Rail Plate products at Solo TechnoPark, which still found many defective products. The types of defects that often occur are uneven surfaces, asymmetrical holes, and erosion. To overcome this problem, the Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methods were used. SPC is used to determine the level of defects through graphs and diagrams, while RCA is used to find the main cause of defects. Data was taken from September to December 2024. The results show that the 550mm Rail Plate size has the most defects, especially on uneven surfaces. The main factors causing defects come from humans, work methods, and raw materials. This study provides solutions such as operator training, improving work methods, and improving material quality. It is hoped that these improvements can reduce the number of defective products and improve production quality. Keywords: quality control, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
