Abstract
The number of cases of juvenile delinquency that occurs, makes schools innovate in providing efforts to improve and instill character education in students. SMP IT Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo in its mission to realize education and produce intelligent and characterful human beings in collaboration with JSIT implements Islamic Personal Development (BPI) activities as an effort to improve students' morals. In this study, the subject of discussion is related to how to Implement Character Education for Students Through Islamic Personal Development Activities at SMP IT Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo. The purpose of this research is to find out how to implement character education through Islamic Personal Development activities and find out how to internalize character in students at SMP IT Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo. This research is a field research using a qualitative phenomenological approach. The data sources come from interviews, observations, and documentation. The data that has been collected is analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. This research obtained results that with the existence of BPI activities at SMP IT Mutiara Insan Sukoharjo, the students have improved their character and are responsible for their daily worship. Because at school they are accustomed to carrying out compulsory worship and sunnah, worship that is well maintained embodies good character as well and is able to change itself. And with the support of school BPI activities and cooperation with students' parents in monitoring children's character, it can be seen that the child's character changes for the better.
