Abstract

Illegal lottery or lottery gambling is a form of socially deviant behavior that is widespread in various regions, including in Delanggu District, Klaten Regency. This research aims to analyze law enforcement efforts against lottery gambling perpetrators, preventive measures, as well as Islamic legal views on gambling. By using an empirical juridical approach, this research utilizes primary data from the field and secondary data from various legal literature. The research results show that law enforcement in Delanggu District is carried out through repressive measures by coaching perpetrators to help individuals who have experienced bad behavior to return to the right path and non-litigation by carrying out peace in the sub-district, including mediation at the sub-district level. Prevention efforts involve legal education, patrols, and strengthening the role of the community. In the view of Islamic law, gambling is considered a prohibited act that has a negative impact on individuals and society.
