Abstract

Law enforcement against online gambling perpetrators in Pacitan faces various challenges, limited resources, and increasingly complex modus operandi. This study aims to analyze the implementation of law enforcement, identify key obstacles, and formulate strategies to enhance the effectiveness of combating online gambling. Using an empirical approach through interviews and literature studies, the findings indicate that despite preventive and repressive efforts, the effectiveness of law enforcement remains limited due to weak inter-agency coordination, low public legal awareness, and technological challenges in tracking and shutting down illegal gambling sites. Therefore, strengthening synergy between law enforcement agencies, internet service providers, and financial institutions is necessary to restrict illegal transactions. Additionally, digital education and economic empowerment for the community are strategic measures to reduce dependence on online gambling and create a safer and more conducive environment.
