Abstract
Kejarlah Janji and Tepatilah Janji are two films produced by the General Election Commission to socialize the 2024 General Elections and 2024 Regional Head Elections. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the representation of moral messages in Kejarlah Janji and Tepatilah Janji films. This research aims to analyze the signs that illustrate the concept of moral messages in both films. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative with Roland Barthes' theory of representation and semiotics. Research validation was carried out using data source triangulation techniques. The results of the research in both films show that KPU uses film media to provide political education through local values in society, religion, and nationality. The moral message that can be taken from Kejarlah Janji and Tepatilah Janji is that a healthy democracy requires leaders and people who have integrity, responsibility, and ethical awareness in carrying out their political roles. Both films present moral messages that illustrate ideal leadership values, as well as teach the importance of moral values of goodness in socio-political life.
