Abstract

The potential of superior commodities in the agricultural sector, especially horticultural agriculture, is used for agricultural development. This can be done by striving and developing existing potential (base), utilizing natural resources optimally, namely fast growth and competitiveness. Wonosobo Regency is one of the districts producing horticultural commodities in Central Java, especially potatoes. Wonosobo Regency has the potential to not only rely on one type of commodity as the main support in its economic activities. Based on these problems, this study aims to analyze the distribution of superior horticultural crop commodities in Wonosobo Regency, as well as analyze the development priorities of these superior commodities in Wonosobo Regency. Determination of the potential for priority development of horticultural agricultural commodities can be done through the method of location quotient and shift share analysis Based on the results obtained there are 3 superior commodities. The leading commodities are leeks with LQ value 2.44, cabbage LQ value 2.19 and potatoes LQ value 1.79. Each is spread in Sapuran District, Watumalang District and Kejajar District. Based on the results of the overlay of potential development priorities, it is obtained that in order are potatoes (Main), leeks (Second), and cabbage (Third).
