Abstract
Language impoliteness in Instagram comment columns has become an increasingly widespread phenomenon along with the increasing use of social media. This study aims to analyze the forms of language impoliteness that appear in interactions in Instagram comment columns, as well as the factors that encourage such behavior. The purpose of this study is to analyze the form of the principle of impoliteness conveyed by netizens in the comment column of the Instagram account @idntimes regarding Anies Baswedan's speech about free PBB for PAUD teachers, the principle of impoliteness is important to study because the principle of impoliteness is very diverse and also inherent in every level of society. The type of research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study were obtained from the Instagram account @idntimes about Anies Baswedan's speech regarding free PBB for PAUD teachers and the data source came from the documentation of the comment column. The techniques used in this study are the technique of reading words and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study uses the intralingual equivalent method with the advanced technique of connecting comparing differentiating (HBB). The validity of the data uses triangulation of sources, the researcher compares the results of observations from the data and the news or source speech, with netizens as research informants. Researchers as a comparison to check the truth of the information that has been obtained, by comparing news from the Instagram account @idntimes with other online media with the same results. So after collecting different data, namely from validation between the online media @idntimes with other media and also observations and existing documentation so that the data on the degree of trust can be valid. The results of this study are an analysis of linguistic impoliteness which is an analysis of linguistic impoliteness in the Instagram comment column that is currently circulating in society using 5 principles of impoliteness. . The results of the study showed that there were 49 impoliteness strategy data consisting of direct impoliteness, negative impoliteness, positive impoliteness, pseudo impoliteness, and withholding politeness.
