Abstract
Child sexual abuse is a form of crime that has serious physical and psychological impacts on the victim. In dealing with cases like this, a legal approach alone is not enough, because the victim needs comprehensive mental recovery. The concept of psycho-legal advocacy is present as an approach that integrates legal aid and psychological support in an integrated manner. This study aims to analyze the implementation of psycho-legal advocacy as a form of legal protection for child victims of sexual abuse in Indramayu Regency. The method used is juridical-empirical with data collection techniques through interviews and literature studies. The results of the study show that although the term psycho-legal advocacy is not explicitly mentioned in the laws and regulations, its substance is reflected in the Child Protection Law, the SPPA Law, the TPKS Law, and Indramayu Regency Regulation No. 18 of 2012. The implementation of protection by the authorities and related institutions has led to this approach, although it is still faced with obstacles such as a lack of experts and low public awareness. Therefore, the psycho-legal advocacy approach needs to be strengthened as a comprehensive protection system for child victims of sexual violence.
