Abstract

This research aims to (1) describe the structure of the novel Pesantren Impian by Asma Nadia; (2) describe the religious value of the novel Pesantren Impian by Asma Nadia with a sociological study of literature; and (3) describe the implementation of religious values in the novel Pesantren Impian in literature learning in high school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Research is descriptive and tends to use analysis. The object of this research is the novel Pesantren Impian by Asma Nadia. The data collection technique in this research uses library study techniques, listening and taking notes. The data analysis technique in the research uses hermeneutic analysis which focuses on understanding and interpreting the text. The results of this research show that (1) the theme of the novel Pesantren Impian by Asma Nadia is the life journey of fifteen teenagers with dark pasts who underwent rehabilitation at an Islamic boarding school called Pesantren Impian; (2) religious values which include, Islamic aqidah values in the form of the value of faith in Allah including saying the sentence istighfar, saying the sentence istirja', and reciting basmallah, moral values towards Allah include tawakal, repentance, gratitude, patience in reciting shalawat, good manners, having a soul. social, caring, self-improvement, steadfast, enthusiastic, humble, forgiving, and caring for animals, the sharia values contained in the novel Pesantren Impian are only the values of worship including prayer, reading Al- Qur'an, fasting, ablution, aqiqah, prayer, marriage, and covering the intimate parts; and (3) implementation of religious values in the novel Pesantren Impian in literature learning in high school in accordance with the independent curriculum by applying the Pancasila student profile
