Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of board size, firm size, leverage, and firm age on firm performance and to test the role of female presence on the board of directors as a moderating variable. The research sample consists of basic materials and chemical industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020-2023 period. The analysis method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results indicate that board size, firm size, leverage, and firm age have a significant impact on firm performance. However, the presence of women on the board of directors does not moderate the effect of board size, firm size, leverage, and firm age on firm performance. These findings provide insights for stakeholders regarding the factors that influence firm performance as well as the role of gender diversity in corporate governance structure.
