Abstract

Songbirds are pets that are widely loved by the Indonesian people. Because songbirds have a melodious voice so that they can provide their own joy for keepers. In keeping songbirds, feeding and drinking greatly affects the health and growth and development of birds. Feeding and drinking birds is still mostly done manually. Often bird keepers forget to love the food and drink to their birds, causing the birds to get sick and even die. Therefore, the author made a tool, namely an automatic feeder and drinker based on the internet of things so that it makes it easier for bird keepers to monitor feed and drink on birds through smartphones. This tool is made using an ESP32 microcontroller, the LDR sensor is used to measure the state of the feed in the cage, the servo motor to open/close the feeding channel in the cage, the water level sensor to measure the depth of the water in the water container in the cage, the Selenoid valve is used to open and close the water channel from the water reservoir outside the cage into the water container in the cage, Relay as scalar on/off selenoid valve. Users will also be able to monitor the availability of feed and drink their birds through their smartphones through the blynk application. The results of the test of this tool can be concluded that the LDR sensor with servo motor actuator which is used as a feed filling gate has a 100% accuracy level in filling feed in the feed container in the cage. The waterlevel sensor with an aqueduct solenoid valve which is used as a gate for filling drinking water for birds when the water container in the cage is in a low water condition is suitable to run according to the author's wishes. The reading data from the LDR sensor and water level sensor sent on the blynk application can facilitate remote monitoring and the drinking feed button can control the drinking feed remotely.
