Abstract

Karanganyar is one of the districts that follows the development trend of the world of sports, one of which is aquatics. Aquatics itself is a variety of forms of water activities that can be carried out in rivers, lakes, seas, beaches, and swimming pools. the increasing public interest in water sports is the spirit of the government in building an aquatic arena building in the Karanganyar Regency area as a place for its citizens to channel hobbies and just exercise. The emphasis / design theme that will be used in designing the aquatic arena building is ‘High-Tech’ architecture.’.Too high energy consumption is the basis for choosing this theme. These concerns can be addressed by applying high-tech architecture to buildings that have been adapted to existing conditions. The use of high-tech architecture is expected to maximise the efficiency of all forms of energy use in the building. The advancement of science and technology is progressing very rapidly, especially nowadays. Various facilities and optimisations have been developed to achieve greater efficiency. The discussion of the architectural aspects required for the Aquatic Arena building with an emphasis on high-tech architecture in Karanganyar Regency includes the physical appearance of the building, site management, structure, utilities and spatial arrangements, as well as the needs of users and activities in it. Therefore, the construction of an aquatic arena in Karanganyar Regency prioritises high-tech architecture and is one of the efforts to improve public facilities.
