Abstract

The city of Surakarta has an area of 44.03 km2 with 5 sub-districts, each of which has limitations in fulfilling green open space of 20% of the provisions for the provision and use of green open space in urban areas based on Minister of Public Works Regulation No. 5 of 2008 which is open to its use as a place to grow plants. As the years go by, the population growth of Surakarta City increases, this has an impact on the lack of distribution of public green open spaces in each existing sub-district. Public Green Open Space with park criteria in the City of Surakarta still has a lot of lack of vegetation, low plant density, air pollution, intensity of sunlight and existing conditions so that the temperature and humidity conditions in the park are a concern and there is a lack of regular maintenance in Public Green Green Space. Regarding the problems that occur in public green open spaces, this research aims to 1. Analyze the thermal comfort level of public green open spaces in the city of Surakarta based on the Temperature Humadity Index. 2. Analyze the thermal comfort indicator criteria for the Temperature Humadity Index based on nieuwolt. This research was carried out using the Temperature Humadity Index method which measures the level of thermal comfort in public green open space. The results of this research are in the form of calculating the value of the thermal comfort level of Surakarta City Public RTH and Classification of Thermal Comfort Indicators Temperature Humadity Index Based on Nieuwolt.
