Abstract

Abstract. In the era of globalization, technology has become an integral part of education. Traditional learning often lacks the ability to stimulate critical thinking in students, especially at the elementary school level. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of video-based interactive media in improving the critical thinking skills of fourth grade students. This research used a qualitative method with a case study involving 28 fourth grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 16 Surakarta. Data analysis used thematic analysis method and data triangulation to increase the validity of the results. The results of this study found that the use of interactive video media can significantly improve students' engagement in learning as well as their critical thinking skills, including the ability to identify and analyze problems. Students more easily understand the concepts conveyed through the video and are able to develop logical thinking patterns in evaluating information. The implementation of this media can be an appropriate strategy for teachers to create a more interesting learning experience and improve the quality of learning in elementary schools.
