Abstract

Hydroponic lettuce cultivation in greenhouse environments requires precise and effective monitoring systems. Conventional monitoring methods often face challenges in terms of accuracy and effectiveness of data collection, which can impact harvest quality. This research aims to develop a website-based monitoring system using Internet of Things (IoT) and calculate IoT device error rates in hydroponic lettuce cultivation at the Lawu Herbal Garden Greenhouse. The research methodology adopts the waterfall model which encompasses five main stages: requirements analysis, system design, code implementation, testing, and deployment. The system is designed using Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize components and workflows. System implementation includes developing a web interface integrated with IoT devices to monitor key parameters such as pH, nutrient concentration (PPM), water temperature, air temperature, and humidity in real-time. System testing was conducted through blackbox testing and media expert validation, with blackbox testing results showing all features functioning as designed, while media expert validation achieved an average score of 94,5% in the Highly Valid category.
