Abstract

This research is entitled "Grammatical and Lexical Cohesion in @Jokowi Instagram Captions and Their Implications for Indonesian Language Learning. The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the form of lexical cohesion aspects contained in the captions of @jokowi's Instagram posts. (2) Describe the form of grammatical cohesion aspects contained in the captions of @jokowi's Instagram posts. (3) Implicating grammatical and lexical cohesion contained in @jokowi's Instagram captions into Indonesian language learning materials for Phase E of the Merdeka Curriculum. Data collection uses listening, note-taking, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique uses the agih method which is classified into basic techniques and advanced techniques. In the captions of President Jokowi's Instagram account posts, various aspects of grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion aspects were found. The grammatical cohesion aspects found were 38 data, including substitution 9 data, reference 21 data, and conjunction 8 data. While the lexical cohesion aspect found a total of 64 data, including repetition 13 data, synonymy 5 data, antonymy 2 data, collocation 6 data, hyponymy 19 data, and equivalence 19 data.
