Abstract
Islamic banking is a financial intermediary institution with sharia principles and has two roles, namely as a collector of funds from customers in the form of deposits and channeling back to other customers in the form of loans. This study aims to measure the level of efficiency of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia in the 2019-2023 period. This research uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Malmquist Productivity Index (MPI) methods with the help of DEAP21 Software as a tool to measure efficiency through input variables and output variables from the financial statements of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data, namely BUS financial statements with data samples, namely 6 BUS in Indonesia. This study uses input variables, namely Total Assets and Capital, and the output variables are Financing and Profit. The result of this research is that BSI is the only one who gets a perfect efficiency score of 1.048. Meanwhile, the other Islamic Commercial Banks scored below the value of 1 or inefficient. This means that the 5 Islamic Commercial Banks that have not received a perfect efficiency score must further improve their performance despite experiencing challenges both from gaps in the operational mechanism of workers and from the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic.
